Remembering Bill
June 4, 2012
On this special day of remembrance for Billʼs passing, I take comfort in remembering many of the good times we shared together, and the humorous things Bill did to put smiles on friends faces. I periodically go back to Billʼs Memorial page and re-read the comments. Each time I come back with something new about Bill I had previously overlooked, or recall one of thosehumorous moments we shared together.
On this day, and throughout the year, we will keep Bill, and your families in our thoughts and prayers.
He walks with us down quiet paths,
And speaks in wind and rain,
For the magic power of memory,
Gives him back to us again.

Always a smile, instead of a frown,
Always a hand, when one is down,
Always true, thoughtful and kind,
Wonderful memories he left behind.
God Bless you all,
John Dowd
Brother,
Four years have passed, you are very much in my memory.
Recalling our family home life and activities, Camping at Berkeley Camp, Thanksgiving and Christmas activities.
These wonderful memories stay with me to cherish.
Sometime in the future we will be united.
I love Brother,
Robert
Dear Brother,
Tomorrow will be the third year of you passing.
You left us to soon my beloved Brother.
I carry with in memory and heart fond remembrances of our life.
Thank you for being such an important part of my life.
During our mourning the Lord gave us solutions, the grieving, the memories and peace.
He works in our lives and comforts us during these times.
In many ways you have not left, the memories we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
I am comforted knowing you are resting in peace.
He changes lives.
I love you,
Robert
We miss Bill so terribly. Here’s a memory. When I first knew Kathie, long before we were married of course, she told me to come to her house and gave me a key in case I got there first. I rang the doorbell first, then used the key. Standing in the entryway was Bill. I said, brightly, “Hi, Bill.” He hesitated, said, “Ah, hi.” And then: “Who the hell are YOU?”
